1930 - Three brothers, Abe, Morris
and Jack left Tchernigov, Ukraine with dreams of finding a new life in America,
away from the turmoil of the Russian Revolution.
1940 - Morris and Jack founded their
company, Acme Poultry, which soon grew into the largest poultry provider in the
Northwest.
1963 - Abe founded Acme Food Sales.
He began by importing and selling Danish and Polish hams to the retail trade.
1973 - Acme Food Sales incorporated
and diversified its product line to include canned seafood, fruits and vegetables
imported from the Far East. Acme expanded its customer base to include institutional
as well as retail.
1979 - Abe's son, Dean Polik, became
president and assumed ownership of the company. Acme Food Sales, Inc. then grew
into a major international importer and distributor of superior quality food products.

Since 1963, Acme Food Sales has evolved from a small Northwest trading company
to an international import, sales and marketing company. We are a full service importer
with extensive experience sourcing quality foods from across the globe. We are familiar
with the intricacies of international trade, from meeting our government's regulations
to ensuring our suppliers are capable of producing products that exceed those criteria.
We at Acme Food Sales have established superior relationships with our agents and
packers, regularly visiting their plants to assure the consistent supply of our
quality products. We have a rigorous Quality Control Department that QC's all product
received. Additionally, the size of our company allows us to respond quickly to
our customer needs and provide to you the best value available.
