Purchasing Coordinator
Overview:
Family-owned International Food Importer and Distributor located in Seattle, WA is looking for a full-time, capable Purchasing Assistant to work with Category Managers in all buying aspects of various food categories. Products are sold across the USA and Food categories include non-perishable canned fruits, vegetables, seafood, beverages and specialty foods in Conventional and Organic forms. We sell retail grocery stores in both Branded & Private label as well as servicing Foodservice, Club and Discount channels.
Job Description:
-
Daily communications with various team members and trade partners.
-
Assist in maintaining and building relationships with existing and new suppliers.

Data entry.
-
Generate Excel reports used for inventory management and shipment tracking.
-
Assembly and distribution of Market Update Reports.
-
Tracking samples.
-
Document review and management.
-
Studying and understanding a variety of world markets.
Requirements:

Independent thinker and self-starter with ability to thrive in pressure and time-sensitive environment.

Quick learner with ability to adapt to new working environment.

Detail oriented and well organized.
-
Basic computer knowledge to include experience working with Excel. Will need to learn internal computer system in short order.

Work well with numbers.

Good oral & written communication skills.
Experience in the following is a plus:

Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams

Salary: $28.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Salary is dependent on experience
